Shift Charge Engineer - Generation

Minimum Experience The Candidate shall posses at least 12-15 years experience in a Large Thermal Power Plant, with at least 5 years as Shift Charge Engineer leading the Entire shift team of Operators and Supervisors. · Shall have exposure to state of the art DCS system, Power System Switching on High voltage and Medium voltage systems, · Shall be computer literate and exposure to Automated Defects and Maintenance Management Systems and Desalination process will be an added advantage. · Professional membership of a recognized engineering society. Good spoken and written English skills. Analytical skills.
Responsibilities KEY DUTIES:

Operation of power generation units or Water Production Facilities as per the assigned area, safely as per established procedure & agreed planning schedule and ensure the availability and production targets.

Operation of the Stations as per the PWPA and meeting all the obligations involved

Permit system : Involves isolation & normalization of system for enabling the maintenance to carry out their work - results in safety to men & machinery. authorized for 132/220 kV switching

Organizing the use of man power in better utilization, ensures effective implementation of safety & discipline, O&M and SOP.

Submitting incident/trip reports and to provide recommendations.

To accord training to assigned Qatari staff, take appropriate decision & direct plant opt during plant emergencies and prevent further of deterioration.

Responding to all station emergencies, like fire, Loss of Generation/Water production Units, Black out and any other incidents as per the set Guidelines.
Assessing Defects raised by Originators and Approving for action on DCMS, Followup on Defect Clearance
