PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
· Engineer with 10-15 years of procurement and materials management experience with knowledge of Automated Procurement and Materials Management System.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Management of local procurement activities including validation of client requirements, sourcing, tendering, competitive analysis, negotiations and order placement.
· Ensure procurement of material according to required specifications, within the required time and at competitive prices in accordance with the Company’s Procurement Policy and Financial Manual.
· Liaison, coordination and communication with indenters, local suppliers and others relating to local procurement of materials.
· Development of procurement strategies.
· Supplier relationship management including pre-qualification, supplier database development and management, performance evaluation, supplier rating, communication reviews and supplier satisfaction.
· Develop and implement efficient and adequate controls in order to guard against inefficiencies and irregularities, financial, commercial and legal risks etc.
