PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
· Bachelors Degree in Electrical/ Chemical Engineering with 10 years of experience of working on cross-country pipelines. R&D oriented personnel in this field will be preferred.
· Experience in management of Corrosion Control/ Cathodic protection and power generation in Oil and Gas industry. Knowledge of Pipeline Corrosion mechanisms, appropriate mitigating procedures and applicable codes and standards.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· This position exists for the purpose of carrying out all work related to protecting pipeline from external/ internal corrosion by the usage of cathodic protection techniques and application of coating and wrapping materials.
· Designing, consultancy and monitoring of installations and commissioning of Cathodic Protection Systems, Internal Corrosion Inhibition systems, Pipelines and structures coating systems, epoxy coating systems.
· Compile schedule to perform relevant surveys to identify the need to protect pipeline from external/ internal corrosion.
· Arrange to train the staff handling equipment/ instruments of the Cathodic Protection and coating/ wrapping materials.
· Ensure all standby power-generating equipment are placed and kept operational on various stations/ Terminals.
· Monitor adherence to the preventive maintenance schedule for all power generating equipment installed at various designated locations.
· Other information that may help in selecting the right candidate:
· Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment and IMS System.
· Good leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
