OFFICIAL JOB DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
Purpose of the Job:
- Accountability for PK Country Operations regarding service levels. service efficiency & performance
- To ensure operational costs are managed efficiently In line with budgetary requirements
- To highlight to the CEO areas of below standard performance & corrective recommendations
- To communicate with other departments of UPS regarding operational changes and service interruptions
- To manage and direct departmental activities through reporters engaged in all operational activities
- To ensure the cost-efficiency, appearance and overall management of the UPS PK fleet.
Main Accountabilities and Associated Activities:
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, process driven and customer focused
- Formulate, establish operational policies and procedures
- Liaison with all levels of management as needed to keep them appraised of operational matters
- Analyze and solve operational problems to maximize operational efficiency
- Oversee timely and accurate movement of shipments and documentation
- Ensure that employees comply with rate and service requirements established by customers
- Assign specific duties to employees as required
- Ensure all employees are fully trained in their jobs Including cross-training in other areas when possible
- Maintains employee records and completes employee performance reviews
- Ensure continuous improvement processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve performance
- Ensure effective management of Operations Department with relevant line managers
- Responsible for staffing, production and all elements of the operation to ensure targets are met both financially and as per UPS Corporate requirements
Desired Qualification (Academics & Technical)
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Commerce / Logistics / Transportation
Preferred Masters Degree
Skill Competencies
- Good computer literacy and above average knowledge of requirements Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word)
- Strong Communicator both downwards and upwards (internal and external to customers)
Desired level of experience
- At least 5 years operational experience, preferably at an (Overall and Relevant) Intermediate or Senior Level
- Experience in managing staff in a multicultural environment
- Minimum 2 years industry experience in charge of large
Gross Monthly Salary Offered
140K to 150K plus benefits
