We require a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for the post of SQA
Team Lead. The Job Description and required skills are as follow:
Experience
Must have 3 to 4 years work experience.
Main Objectives
The position has following main objectives
Software Quality Assurance
Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software
development procedures used to verify that programs function according
to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines: Writes,
revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for
program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software
economically and efficiently.
Legacy Tasks
We have quite a few legacy tasks that will be taken care by this
position.
These legacy tasks are
• Organize all existing QA documents
Duties and Responsibilities
The post has the following duties and responsibilities
QA
• Analyze and identify opportunities to improve existing
systems and implementation.
• Review, evaluate, and document existing Quality Assurance/
testing code, processes and contributors.
• Write, delegate, and utilize testing into a consolidated
suite of documented tests.
• Create test plans and test designs to thoroughly test a
functionality or feature.
• Using User Interface, command line or scripts, test the
functionality, and performance of functionality and features.
• Manually execute test designs to find defects in features
and prioritize them.
• Write test cases based on production modules, and create
scripts for automation.
• Work both independently and as an integral member of a high
performance team.
Additional Tasks
• Provide third line support.
• Manage all QA documentation.
• Make test cases for existing modules.
Others
• Undertake any other duties that might reasonably request
from time to time.
Skills
• Experience developing and executing manual and automated
test suites.
• Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking
systems, test design and execution.
• Working knowledge of some or all of the following quality
assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, user interface
automated testing.
• Experience testing web-based enterprise applications.
• Browser and server side test automation.
• Passion for quality assurance of end-user applications.
• Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving
quality issues.
• Ability to work at both detailed and abstract levels.
• Ability to solve problems creatively.
• Willingness and ability to create and adapt to new
technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and the agile approach.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Ability to achieve set goals and deadlines.
• Ability to self-motivate and self-direct.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
