Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
· The incumbent working on this position will be responsible to set a benchmark for best practice and an innovative approach
to all QA/QC matters at all local and overseas projects and all permanent establishments of Descon. The position will play a
strategic role in achieving organizational goals by displaying professional skills for creating and sustaining quality culture in
the company in line with International Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000.
· QA/QC Objectives :
1. To set and meet companywide Quality objectives.
2. To set quality standards and their compliance related to Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement
and Plant Services.
· Contracts and Specifications:
1. To oversee preparation of Project Quality Plan in the lightof Project specifications/Customer requirements.
· Resource Management:
1. Coordinate with HRD/BA-HRM and BA (QA/QC) for deployment and manage human resources and inspection &
Testing equipment as per project budget.
· Coordination with Customer:
1. Responsible for providing assistance to BA management in answering all queries of customers relating to quality of
work.
2. Plays the role of coordinator, facilitator and advisor to all levels of management over the QA/QC matters
· Quality Planning:
1. Responsible to ensure overall execution of the Quality Inspection Plan at BA projects including EPC projects.
· Audits:
1. Coordination with external certifying/ surveillance auditor bodies.
2. Responsible for the preparation of schedules for Project Assessment, IMS audits, coordinate with
BAs/BSDs/Projects for effective implementation and to ensure compliance with & Company’s policies and
procedures.
Competence Requirements:
· Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
· Minimum Experience:
1. 10-15 years in relevant industry
· Job specific Skills:
1. Familiar with legal and other requirements.
2. Computer acquaintance (especially Excel, Word and Power Point)
3. Excellent Managerial Skills
4. Extensive QA/QC Knowledge
5. Familiar with use of Statistical Tools for decision making
