Job Requirements
*The Embedded Software Division of Mentor Graphics has a full-time opportunity for an energetic, experienced and ambitious R&D manager.
*The successful candidate is a great people manager, technical domain expert and well versed in all aspects of software product development. He or she has a track record of successfully leading highly skilled engineering teams and delivering complex projects. A strong technical background in Embedded Software development and in particular Embedded UI technologies is required.
Education
· BSc/MSc Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
· Specialization in Embedded Systems will be plus
Experience
· 8+ years of experience in software engineering and management of development teams
Job Responsibilities
· Mentor and provide growth opportunities for your team members
· Lead and manage engineering team through full project development cycle.
· Define and ensure product implementation according to specification
· Ensure high quality and on-time deliverable
· Instill customer focus for the team and into the products
· Working with offshore development team
· Work with team members to help them resolve critical and urgent issues
Required Skill Set
· Proficiency in C, C++ and Core Java
· Experience with STL and Eclipse framework
· Good OS concepts, Excellent OOP concepts and knowledge of Design Patterns
· Experience in embedded software development using Nucleus, Linux and Android
· Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize work load
· Ability to quickly understand both business and technical concepts
· Self-motivated, quality driven, customer focused, problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience in working, coordinating and liaison with offshore development team
· Experience is designing quality software, designing test suites, generating test cases
Desired Skill Set
· Knowledge of Computer Graphics (also familiar with OpenGL-ES)
· Experience in Mobile application development using Android, Linux or WinCE
