Responsibilities
* Responsible for ensuring the quality delivery of Carrier Class
Platforms.
* Participate and work closely with software developers in
reviewing functional specs and design specs; and provide feedback.
* Writing detail feature test plans and designing test bed
topologies that encompass various test scenarios.
* Executing test plans and reporting defects and test results.
* Working closely with folks in engineering on bringing identified
issues to closure
* Developing scripts for automated testing of the functional
tests.
* Debugging script failures in automated test beds and modifying
scripts/libraries as per requirements.
* May require leading projects and providing technical and project
guidance to other team members
Requirements
* Bachelors in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Electronics,
Telecommunications) or equivalent
* 1-2 years of relevant experience
* Experienced in Linux and Real Time operating systems
* Automation of the test cases in Perl or TCL
* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
* Strong knowledge of L4-L7 protocols a plus
* Expertise in IPv4 Forwarding, QOS, and L2/L3 protocols, like
STP, VLANS, RIP, OSPF, and MPLS
* Experience with 3G/4G/LTE/Deep packet inspection is a plus
* Expertise in networking and debugging.
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of third party test tools IXIA, Spirent, etc.
* Knowledge of carrier class edge platforms is a plus
