Vacant position: Production Manager
Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Description: Production Manager for the PK office will have overall
responsibility for the day-to-day management and success of the PK Production
team. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of project management best
practices and demonstrable experience with capacity and availability management,
problem-solving skills, and management and mentoring of staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership that supports the overall Operations and Company
missions, and focuses on the successful development of each staff member in the
PK Production department
- Manage human, time, and financial resources to meet development goals
- Work with Production staff (in US and PK) to improve processes and
workflow
- Develop and manage meaningful quarterly goals that are aligned with
company goals
- Supervise Instructional Design, Multimedia, and Quality Assurance team
managers
- Develop and ensure execution of training programs for PK team members
- Document development process for each type of product produced,
including LOE and average schedules that can be used for planning
- Ensure all teams understand and adhere to style guides, production
quality guides, and production processes to deliver instructionally sound,
error-free products
- Provide clear written documentation of processes, and make presentations
of same when appropriate
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with operations, sales,
marketing, and client services as needed
- Ensure the effective hiring, training, and evaluation of Production team
members.
- Work with management team to ensure that issues regarding development
issues for 360 products are resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible
Position Requirements
- 5-7+ years experience in related fields
- Bachelor's degree required with concentration in one of the following
areas: Management, Media Development, or Instructional Design. PMP Preferred.
- Strong managerial and project management skills
- Knowledge of eLearning environments, technology, and pedagogy
- Ability to measure costs and team performance
- Experience in working with on and off shore teams is required
- Experience working in IT, education or related industry preferred
- Ability to deal comfortably with ambiguity and change
- Proven leadership skills with a large team, with focus on skill
development
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in cross-functional team environments
This is a full time position with a complete benefits package upon hire. The
