JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Software Engineer
Job Duties:
- Design and develop new .NET applications and / or maintain existing .NET applications.
- Perform problem management and cause analysis.
- Application support, bug fix responsibilities, and support for development and QA websites.
- Maintain thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and processes.
- Troubleshoot complex business requirements and processes.
- Able to span diverse platform environments, software, hardware, and tools.
- Research and evaluate alternatives.
- Participate in application and database design and specification development.
- Tasks involving systems analysis, design, coding, test plans, implementation plans, and conversion.
Skills:
- Visual SourceSafe and Visio Tools.
- Strong understanding of MS SQL Server and Web based applications including .NET.
- Experience in the high volume websites
Essential Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited institution.
- 2+ years experience in object-oriented design for Internet or client / server applications.
- Track record developing a world-class enterprise software product to a successful release or developing database applications for high-volume, transaction-oriented Web application.
- SQL Server back end experience and strong understanding of stored-procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff.
- Able to translate concepts and information into functional reports; demonstrates attention to detail.
- Dependable to keep commitments and meet deadlines. The ability to work independently and together as a team is essential.
