| | Job Description: | Web developer & designers is responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of web application. Using combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages / UI screens are created, the work involves: Primary task: liaising closely with Business Analysis &Development teams at the design stage and finding the answers to questions about what is required on the screen, how to present the desired items, etc; producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required; Creating web pages / UI designs in a combination of codes, such as HTML and XHTML, CSS, Java script, .Net, Flash, of using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio; deciding on how images and other material will bedigitally optimized and presented for the web; testing the pages / designs for functionality indifferent browsers and at different resolutions; fixing errors. Secondary task: Maintain/upgrade company website Creating graphic templates, presentations, business cards and company portfolio Creating document tempates and style sheets. Skills Required: - Good interpersonal and communication skills - Creative - Must able to work independently and take responsibility - Must have knowledge of graphic design packages such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in order to produce basic layout and manipulate images. - Must be familiar with web 2.0 concepts and technologies. - Skills in server side technologies, such as PHP and .Net are also important. Experience working with Apache server package such as WAMP is also important. Additional Skills: Java (JSP/JSF/Servlets) & Ajax programming skills and experience will be an added advantage.
