· Implement and Maintain Secure Converged Wide Area Networks
· Develop strategies to mitigate network attacks
· Configure Cisco device hardening
· Responsible for intelligent network service designs for network management, high availability, security, QoS, and IP multicast
· Develop a comprehensive network security policy to counter threats against information security
· Review, propose, and implement improvements to overall network / security
· Configure LAN devices to control access, resist attacks, shield other network devices and systems, and protect the integrity and confidentiality of network traffic.
· Disaster recovery administration from a networking point of view
· Enforce and manage appropriate high availability and back-up/restoration capability
· Prepare and maintain a disaster recovery / business continuity plan for the systems in area of responsibility
· Upkeep and maintenance of network systems and devices at PMD including:
· LAN (main office and DR site)
· Internet connectivity (Microwave, ADSL, FO, E1 & DXX)
· Develop and maintain technical documentation, particularly for overall network and related SoPs
· Generate regular periodic and on-demand reports on various aspects of functionality and Network utilization
· Troubleshooting, rectification and administration of queries internally from PMD as well as from all external stakeholders.
· Coordination with Telecommunications / Network vendors and stakeholders
Experience/Qualifications:
· CCNA certification
· Preference shall be given to CCNP Certified Individuals
· 4-years degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology
· 3-5 years of relevant experience including 2-3 years of direct in-depth hands-on experience with installation/configuration/maintenance of:
· Cisco Routers
· Cisco Firewalls
· Cisco Layer 2 & Layer 3 Switches
· Sound Designing skills of Cisco Network Service Architectures and Perimeter Security
· Working knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP
· Working knowledge of routing architectures including VLAN routing & InterVLAN Routing
· The ability to effectively use diagnostic / bandwidth monitoring & management tools
· Proven track record of exhibiting fast learning curve for new software technologies
· Strong communication skills in English: written, oral and presentation
