Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated Data Center Operator. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
· Working for Data backups, schedules, logs & other related tasks
· Monitoring Productions server for errors
· Maintaining Equipment inventory not limited to tapes, servers, racks etc
· Tape Management such as changing tapes, tape movement off-site, tape storage etc
· Data preparing and data loading tasks
· Monitoring and Maintaining Data center temperature, power and network capacity
· Notify responsible personnel when production problems occur
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· All other task assigned by Head of IT Operations
Hours and Schedule:
Evening shift position. From 3 PM to 11 PM
Job Requirements:
· BS/BA. Degree
· Knowledge of Linux
· Knowledge of Windows 2003.
· Knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g
· Have and understanding of PC's and OS's.
· Familiar with basic FTP commands and batch file programming.
· Have worked with MS Office.
· Strong communication skills, verbal and written
· Must be flexible with schedule
· Must be honest, responsible, self-motivated and willing to learn.
