PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
· MBA/M.Com/ACA with minimum 5 Years experience in a corporate banking environment of which minimum 2 years should be of managing corporate client relationships.
· Sound understanding of corporate finance products/structuring, treasury products, trade finance products and personal banking products.
· Expertise in and ability to do financial analysis.
· MS Office skills and knowledge of the banking system.
· Familiarity with regulatory guidelines, bank operations and operational guidelines.
· A good understanding of the general, economic, political and business environment of the country/region.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead a team of relationship managers to achieve overall disbursement and profitability targets.
· Lead, develop and maintain a corporate credit portfolio inline with the banks credit policy and SBP’s prudential and statutory regulations.
· Achieve credit and marketing targets assigned by the bank’s management to meet the planned objectives.
· Responsible for marketing and management of the risk assets and contingent liabilities for meeting the financing requirements of corporate relationships.
· Develop plans for business growth and enhance business opportunities with existing and potential borrowers.
· Conduct in-depth assessment of the risk involved and projected reciprocity for the bank when extending credit facilities to existing and potential borrowers to ensure bank is not exposed to unwarranted risk.
· Develop and manage asset portfolio to achieve growth in funded/non-funded advances and closely monitor existing borrowing relationships to ensure risk and yield criteria are being met.
· Ensure that appropriate levels of internal controls are established and maintained in the area in accordance with Credit Policy requirements to minimize unwarranted risk and to achieve a satisfactory audit rating.
· Train the staff in the department to achieve professional excellence and ensure a backup is available for each position and motivate staff to improve productivity levels.
· Regular meetings with existing customers to strengthen relationships and to seek ancillary business; visit to prospective customers to promote the bank’s products and services, discuss business opportunities, and establish mutually beneficial business relationships.
· Identify and minimize risk involved for the bank by conducting comprehensive company and industry analysis, meeting with client senior management and conducting visits to the place of business.
· Review reports generated by the system to monitor credit portfolio for any exceptions and to ensure compliance with Credit Policy and statutory requirements and take corrective action where necessary
· Motivate staff to assume additional responsibilities so that increased business volumes are managed by the same staff strength.
· Good interpersonal communication and negotiation skills; Time Management skills and ability to handle pressure.
