Lean Expert – Position Profile
Main Purpose of Job:
Develop a continuous improvement culture in all market businesses by implementing LEAN principles and concepts throughout the value chain. Co-ordinate
the market roll-out and development of LEAN ensuring that best practices are adopted and embedded throughout the organisation.
Salary Package: 120k - 200k ( depending upon profile)
position:Lahore Based
Key outputs: Measurements / Performance Indicators:
Support and help the LEAN rollout within the market ensuring that a continuous improvement culture is developed and sustained in each business.
Help the LEAN Champion and Value Stream Manager(s) to define the implementation timetable and roadmap.
Project management for the roadmap implementation across the market.
Define the steps necessary for the market to have in place its own support structure without external resource.
Assist the Value Stream Managers to roll out LEAN, starting with one product family and deploying to more product families and business units.
Lead/Assist Value Stream Design which will identify areas of improvements.
Conduct LEAN assessment and identify key areas of improvement in the market.
Develop and ensure application of tools/concepts with the Team Leaders and Value Stream Managers.
Conduct all training modules - Coach and train people from the shop floor to management so that they have the prerequisite knowledge and skills to apply LEAN concepts/tools on an ongoing basis.
Conduct ‘Train the trainer’ to build capability of the team members involved in LEAN implementation.
Consolidate learnings from the LEAN implementation in each business and define best practices taking into account external information and methods.
Ensure alignment of best practices and lessons learned among peers.

Key experiences: What people have experienced and been successful Functional/ Technical / Business Skills / Managerial / Leadership and
Knowledge: What does the employee know? What can the employee do?
- Ideally 5 years of successful experience in implementing LEAN in
the area of supply chain/procurement or/and manufacturing/TPM
best practices across large and complex environments.
- Exposure to FMCG/Food & Beverages and process industries is a
big asset
- Has operational experience of supply chain, production and/or
engineering
- Preferably exposure to LEAN certificate for LEAN candidates
- Excellent communication, decision making and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to influence at all levels across an organisation
- Capability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
- Strong process and system awareness
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Nestlé culture and way of
implementing LEAN (following Nestlé LEAN Reference Guide)
- Has continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive the mindset
change throughout the organization
- Coach staff and peers in different functions to gain stronger
understanding of value for our customer and consumers and develop a
cross-functional view
- Integrate people from different divisions, towards a common goal
