Role Purpose:
Perform highly responsible operation and maintenance activities associated with all WiMAX network and systems elements under the administrative direction of the Network Operation Engineer Supervisor. This will include, but not limited to, on-going monitoring of network conditions and service performance throughout wi-tribe WiMAX systems and network infrastructure.

This will include, but not limited to, on-going monitoring of network conditions and service performance throughout wi-tribe WiMAX systems and network infrastructure.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for operations and maintenance (O&M) activities and performance associated with Internet, IP/MPLS, WiMAX and Voice based systems.
- Coordinate trouble resolution with other service providers in order to minimize customer (and non‑customer) affecting downtime.
- Respond to and track any such issues by ensuring customer care is promptly notified while ensuring resolution and/or proper handoff to team members.
- Respond to Network-wide outages including, but not limited to: WiMAX systems, IP network, Voice Gateways Failure, Transmission Failure, Voice Trunk Outage, Internet services failure, and Auxiliary Service outage.
- Must take ownership of any such network issues and follow them through to resolution, ensuring constant internal & external contact/update.
- Use of NMS systems to detect and respond to customer and BS connectivity issues, as well as possible use of remote notification systems and maintain voice and data networks.
- Responsible for maintaining the documentation, monthly/weekly reports, trouble reports and serviceability of all networking hardware and software involved in keeping all systems performing up to service level agreements.
- Must assist in leading edge technology design and troubleshooting for company's networks and services.
- Must adhere to escalation procedures and customer care processes.
- Must escalate troubles to vendor/service providers when appropriate.
- Posses the skills to configure routers and switches if required.
- The duties and responsibilities outlined may vary over time and are subject to management review and amendment.
- The candidate is able to work in shifts.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years experience in relevant capacity.
- BSc Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering.
Competencies:
Note: you will be required to attach the following:- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must possess management and facilitation skills.
- Good hands on IP routing.
- CCNA and CCNP is an added benefit.
- 1 year in computer networking is a plus point.
