Job Description
- Formulate specific brand strategies and business plans consistent with overall category strategies and suggest new ideas to improve product performance
- Identify new product and brand extension opportunities and recommend alternatives to improve established ways of doing things
- Planning: Coordinate implementation of product launches with trade and consumer promotions, packaging and advertising strategies
- Identify the critical success factors and issues for the brand and draw conclusions from available data to facilitate formulation of brand strategies based on historical volume trend, distribution opportunities, competition and market segmentation
- Consumer Insight/Research: Initiate research projects that support brand strategies and review designs and methodologies vis-à-vis research objectives. Draw consumer insights from direct consumer contact.
- Prepare creative briefs based on consumer research information and suggest ideas that enhance the creative process and add value
- Prepare brand briefs for media and promotional activities and evaluate their effectiveness using a variety of tools. Select advertising strategies that maximize brand appeal
- Evaluate impact of competitive media/creative/ promotional activities on brand strategy and formulate course of action to counter competitive moves
- Product Launch and Bundling: Responsible for;
- Timely completion of assignments pertaining to product bundle development and launch process.
- Monitoring progress in product launch, identifying task success and capturing learning for future improvements
- Draw business insights from trade visits and store checks and use sales and trade knowledge in developing and implementing marketing programs
