Job Description:
The Business Intelligence Developer’s role is responsible for designing, installing, monitoring, maintaining, and performance tuning of data warehousing and business intelligence while ensuring high levels of data availability.
He should have skills on SQL Server 2005 – 2008, Business Intelligence – SSAS, SSRS, SSIS (Administering and Developing), Data Warehousing and Programming: Visual Studio.NET – C#, TSQL, ODBC, ADO
· Assist in design, development, implementation, maintenance of ETL mapping, routines according to the data warehouse design and architecture.
· Support continuous development and refinement of BI strategies.
· Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for client/server databases and database applications as required.
· Develop automated database applications, where necessary, using the applicable database packages and Business Intelligence tools.
· Technical experience with developing, installing, configuring and supporting MS SQL Server.
· Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
· Strong understanding of OLAP Cubes in design and implementation.
· Technical knowledge of current database software, protocols, and standards, including TSQL, ODBC, ADO, BI-SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.
· Experience in web development, .NET and C# will be an added advantage.
· Experience in Data Modeling.
· Familiar with Star Schema and design principles
