Job Description:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for several key aspects of the business. The right candidate will be a true hunter with strong BI contacts in Information Technology and in one or more of the following vertical markets: Aerospace, Government, Construction, Engineering or Manufacturing. It is a position requiring the ability to effectively articulate and present the benefits of enterprise-level data management and visualization software to multiple levels in large organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform research on industry members to identify prospects and potential sales opportunities.
- Build relationships based on existing clients, leads, and industry contacts, as well as identify new leads from a variety of sources.
- Drive the pipeline volume by contacting leads, qualifying prospective customers, and building relationships.
- Close new business by providing formal price quotations to identified opportunities, and gaining valid purchase orders.
- Expand and close additional business with existing accounts.
- Working with the Director of Sales, craft and execute specific account strategies to capitalize on identified opportunities.
- Assist with the creation and dissemination of product value and marketing information.
- Prepare and execute web based software demonstrations.
- Create and deliver regular status reports, including estimating close dates and sales volume to meet sales targets.
- Set and consistently meet sales quotas.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Keep customers informed of new product developments.
- Participate in product development, marketing and client education activities.
Job Specification:
- Business Intelligence industry knowledge and background.
- 5+ years of verifiable, successful software sales experience, selling robust software application packages into Fortune 2000 industries and large government entities, and managing the sales cycle in the large industry environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to deliver effective presentations to both large and small groups.
- A strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- A working knowledge of web-based demonstration tools.
- A superb work ethic, as well as the drive to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- MBA in Marketing with BS in Computer Sciences is preferred.
- U.K or U.S Based Experience will be preferred.
- Should have their Own Car.
