DPM is supposed to deal with major international, national & local accounts in general trade and key accounts in 2 markets: Peshawar and Afghanistan. The purpose is to establish a relationship that allows the company to implement the sales fundamentals which drive our business. Supposed to define projects which potentially lead to a win-win situation with the accounts assigned for. Responsible for sales and volume growth, for trade marketing and brand building programs with his customers.
Duties and responsibilities:
I. Sales & Contracts
Realizes sales plans on the assigned area. Controls execution and delivery of orders from distributor(s) to ultimate outlets.
Negotiates with distributors and key customers; controls the compliance with the contract by key customers and distributors.
Plans sales volume in accordance with the line manager requirements. Constantly contacts other Company functions and departments to be able to react fast for any possible specific requests from key customers or distributors.
Implements and regularly updates database with all the outlets on assigned geographical area.
Initiates and organizes various programs and events for sales plans achievement.
Defines possible sales volume and plans his/her actions to ensure sales plan realization through cooperation with existing key customers and distributors and attracting the new ones.
- Responsible for timely payment for shipment.
II. Distribution & product placement
Regularly analyzes the potential of distribution growth on assigned geographical area, informs the line manager of all the new opportunities, possible risks and threats, coordinates action plan.
Controls Company’s distribution build-up on the assigned area. Tracks if all the outlets are covered by distributor’s sales personnel according to distribution and sales plans. Encourages the expansion of outlets coverage by distributor.
Prepares and carries out motivation events for distributor’s sales personnel and key customers to execute sales plans and distribution on assigned geographical area.
Together with distributors takes part in negotiations with key customers to agree shelves’ share, prices, equipment and POS in line with Company requirements.
- Regularly checks the key customers if negotiated terms are realized.
III. Budget
Operates just on frames of budget approved for assigned area.
- Coordinates the budget for any program or event with the line manager and the person responsible for budget control and doesn’t allow using budget funds without his/her confirmation.
IV. People management
Responsible for development, training and motivation of distributor’s sales personnel.
V. Planning and Business Plan
Suggests, presents and realizes annual/quarterly/monthly action plans to ensure sales volume growth on assigned geographical area.
- Provides the line manager with any information requested for business plan preparation and strategic decisions.
VI. Pricing management and control
Regularly controls distributor’s sale prices in accordance with functioning price model.
Provides the distributor and key customers with recommendations on shelves’ prices in line with Company standards.
- Keeps regular price monitoring on assigned geographical area.
VII. Reporting
Regularly reports on each key customer in accordance with established reporting form.
- Regularly reports the key business activities and factors to the line manager on regular basis (electronic version as per agreed form) in general trade channel in cities of first and second priority and in all channels in cities of third priority on the assigned area.
VIII. Presentations
- Prepares presentations for customers about Company new products, initiatives and activities. Provides customers with necessary business information.
VIV. POS and Coolers
Controls the achievement of Company targets on POS and coolers placement on assigned geographical area.
Controls data validation in the Company system on quality and type of coolers based on distributor.
Controls the inventory of Company coolers placed in outlets of key customers and distributor.
X. Product & Brand knowledge
Has professional knowledge of Company products: composition, characteristics and special features.
Knows the terms of products’ storage and transportation.
