• 2-5 years of experience in application programming and extended knowledge of Value Added Services, preferably working in a Cellular Company.
• Hardcore knowledge of Apache Web Server, Perl, SOA, SOAP, Oracle database, SQL for data extraction, Java applications, JSP, .Net, MySQL Databases, PHP & Web Services.
• Hands-on experience of supporting SMS or WAP/GPRS based data service applications and building on top of it.
• Practical experience with latest application programming and scripting technologies using telecom related enablers and content services.
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills; acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to management or professional peers.
• Strong analytical skills; Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
• Clear Understanding of cellular mobile system technologies and GSM infrastructure, especially GPRS, SMSC, IN etc. with a focus on IP/Data services.
• Understands principles client/server programming, ability to program in web languages (PHP, .Net, JScript) as well as in low level programming languages like Java, C++.
• Knowledge of Web Servers installation and Configuration like Apache and Tomcat for turnkey scripting.
• Excellent computer knowledge in general and specifically in Microsoft Office products
• Hands-on experience of working on Linux and Unix environments.
