Experience Required
• 2-3 years of experience in application programming and familiarity with Value Added Services and platforms, preferably working in a Cellular Company.
• Sound understanding & working knowledge of Oracle database, SQL for data extraction, J2SE and J2EE applications, PHP, Web Services and SOAP technologies
• Basic experience of managing/supporting SMS or GPRS based data services.
• Practical exposure to Network, Systems and Database Monitoring applications/tools and information security technologies.
• Previous experience with latest application programming and scripting technologies.
• Should have proven experience of working and delivering under stress situations, with a more focus on solution than the problem.
Skills required
1. Strong Interpersonal and communication skills; acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to management or professional peers.
2. Strong analytical skills; Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
3. Sound understanding of cellular mobile system technologies, especially GPRS, SMSC, IN etc. with a focus on IP/Data services.
4. A solid understanding of an operating system; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts
5. A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming.
6. Ability to program in a web language (PHP, .Net, JScript) as well as in low level programming languages like Java, C++
7. Knowledge of Web Servers installation and Configuration like JBoss and Apache Tomcat.
8. Excellent computer knowledge in general and specifically in Microsoft Office products
9. Fluent in English.
