PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE
o Post graduate degree in Law, Finance or Business Administration.
o 3 – 5 years of experience with legal and compliance department of some local bank.
o A strong understanding of the financial regulations, especially in microfinance businesses, as well as knowledge of financial products and practices
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continued development and management of a number of regional compliance functions.
- Management of compliance staff.
- Interact with the business lines and other divisions in the organization..
- Manage compliance matters including reporting to the authorities and Associations.
- Monitoring of day-to-day controls, reviewing and establishing internal rules, and giving compliance-related instructions to other departments
- Handle legal matters.
