The Job Description
The Network Assistant will work under the Network Manager to develop, deploy, operate, maintain and design LAN systems, including file and print, email, remote access solutions, network monitoring etc. for office and applications support, including workstation and application integration. Establish system configurations to maximize performance and redundancy while minimize downtime, coordinates repair and maintenance activities for all network based application programs and systems in response to user support calls and normal operating requirements. Develops and deploys solution for new customer requirements. Coordinates systems development, installation and implementation and troubleshoot user support requests.
The Candidate:
- Minimum required BS in Computer Science or Information Systems, or a combination of Bachelor's degree in any discipline with certification in networking i.e. around 200 hours of professional education related to an integrated LAN/WAN environment
- 2+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with hands-on working knowledge of Routing and Switching (Cisco/3COM/Nortel/Juniper), structured cabling, communication technologies (VPN etc) and medium (xDSL, Leased circuits, ISDN / POTs etc), Network monitoring and reporting tools.
- Experience with networks with over 100 online users
- Experience with a variety of network topologies
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer a plus
- High-quality Customer Service skills
- Preferably aged below 28 years
