SYSTEM/NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR required

JOB DESCRIPTION
Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks including switches, internet routers, and related networking equipment and software. Troubleshoot and provide solutions for any failures and network performance issues. Monitor networks for status and potential problems with Network tools.
Assists with the overall design and implementation of Shamal Media's technology infrastructure. Includes assessing current systems for current and future needs and provides consultation and solutions to complex problems to meet out Technology Strategic Plan. Ensures proper functioning of company's information processing system and makes upgrades as necessary. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs.
Responsible for collaboratively designing, implementing and maintaining security measures to support the information and data security needs of Shamal media Sercvices While Maintaining Documentation for the same. Constantly researches and evaluates new or improved security measures to support Shamal media Services's security requirements. This responsibility encompasses Shamal media Services's firewalls, network components, servers and workstations, application and data level security needs.
Maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging state of the art network technologies, that may relate to Shamal media Services, for problem resolution and project planning. It is expected that the incumbent will spend time ensuring knowledge transfer and/or training to other members of the technology team or Shamal media Services staff as required.
Contact vendors of network equipment for technical assistance and problem resolution. Provide superb customer support to Shamal media Services staff for technology related responsibilities. Assist other departments in achieving same goal. Responsible for ensuring the timely process through which problems are resolved. Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up steps. Provide other staff members with required support to meet this objective.

REQUIREMENTS
The qualified candidate will have 2- 4 years of direct technology related experience and technology-related bachelor's degree.
Professional certifications in technologies such as Microsoft, Cisco, or other Network technologies highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge with a variety of the technology concepts, practices, and procedures are essential.
Have experience with the following: Platform experience (Windows, Linux), Fast Ethernet Content Switching, Firewalls, IP Routing, Network cabling, MRTG and/or other Network Management Systems Cisco Access Control Server Understands routing on Windows, Solaris, Linux and/or HPUX
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and proven technical aptitude are required.
The individual will often be required to work outside of normal business hours and to work independently, without close supervision.
This position supports a 24x7 production environment.
