Overall Purpose:
The Technology Manager is the overall technical and solutions responsible for the customer.
To sell competitive customer solutions through a consultative approach, focusing on customer needs, involving several product areas, services and 3rd party products
 
Key Responsibilities
Overall technical and solutions responsible for the customer.
  • Defines the technology evolution strategy for the customer
  • Managing the RFQ's and other requests from the customer, from a technical solutions point of view.
  • Takes the CSR role in C3 for system solutions
  • Fluent in tools as ECP, Verdi.
  • Overall responsible of the SoC procedure.
  • Coordinating with the Solution and product Managers.
  • Shall work according to the Sales process and follow the Ericsson quality policy.
  • Adopt a value based approach in the offerings towards the customer.
  • Technology Manager should actively create business opportunities for existing and future products, solutions and services with help from the Product Managers and the Solution Managers.
  • Prepare an overall solution dimensioning with support related product mangers to the solution.
  • Prepare and verify BoQ in ECP and Verdi.
  • Prepare and verify an overall solution SoC.
  • Prepare and approve Solution proposals.
  • Perform customer and internal product and solution presentations and take part in technical discussions with customers CTO.
  • Support to the operations department e. g. solution handover, internal presentations, ordering support and product introduction etc.
  • Coordinate with the roll-out project managers to ensure correct deliveries.
  • Contribute to the Account Planning.
  • Understand key competitors' strengths and weakness and build sales opportunities based on it.
  

Qualifications

 
Competence
  • Very good knowledge of the Telecom business and the needs of Network Operators and Service providers.
  • Experience from senior management position in sales or product management in a global organization.
  • Ability and skills to work internationally and understand and respect different cultures is also a requirement.
  • At least 10 years working experience from the Telecom or IT Industry in senior management positions.
  • Broad knowledge of fixed and mobile network solutions and Ericsson's products offerings (Radio, Core, and IP - Broadband) and value-add to the market.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding about Mobile Broadband, and Telephony Evolution business solutions.
  • Experienced with the Ericsson Sales process, and Fluent in tools as CANDI, ECP, Verdi.
  • Technology understanding and future network transformation trends.
  • Business, goal and result oriented.
  • Customer and service oriented.
  • Able to take both strategic and tactical business decisions.
  • Excellent managerial qualities, self motivated, taking initiatives and a good team player.
  • Ability to work under strong pressure related to scale of business impact.
  • Ability and skills to work internationally and understand different cultures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
