PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
· BE Mechanical with 6 + years of exposure of procurement on a huge scale in a production concern of repute.
· Knowledge of market, equipments, specification manufacturers, suppliers, vendors and standards applicable to the pharmaceutical industries would be an advantage.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely manner;
· Ensuring compliance with procurement and other policies and procedures and facilitating resolution of technical and process constraints.
· Responsible for assisting with the analysis and management of spend in a given area; helping to determine savings opportunities;
· Participating in the selection and oversight of suppliers; and supporting negotiations with suppliers.
· Excellent analytical, organization and problem solving skills
Strong research, writing and communication skills
Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications
Experience with major ERP software (i.e., SAP) and/or other P2P modules
The ability to take direction, work independently, and perform detailed work in a high-volume environment
· A good understanding of commonly-used procurement concepts, best practices and procedures.
