Job Description:
· To maintain an in-depth understanding of ongoing projects and UC products, relevant technologies to continuously improve development process.
· Work closely with Software Team Lead to determine product development scope and ensure development of products meets feature and required quality specifications
· Work closely with project manager(s) on defining project deliverables and timelines
· Identify and mitigate development risks, develop strategic counter measures to close gaps and weaknesses
· Proactively manage implementation of product quality management and release management policies and procedures
· Proactively manage and report on budgets and resource utilization for product development activities
Job Specification:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software engineering, Master’s degree advantageous.
· Minimum 3 years experience in software or mobile telecommunications product development activities
· Prior experience in rapid software development of complex and customized applications (eg C/C++, Linux, Java, Dot Net Framework, mySQL, MS SQL) is desired
· Prior experience in developing software specifically for the mobile telecommunications market and also extensive knowledge of open source software is highly advantageous
· Proven capability to develop and manage processes to ensure on-time, on-spec and on-budget delivery of new products / product enhancement
· Strong problem solving skills, creative and strategic thinking ability to drive execution
· Results oriented, critical and decisive
· Strong communication skills, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
