Job Title: IT Infrastructure Designer and Architect (Engineer) is required.
This position will lead functions to drive advanced information technology design and implementation activities and will be accountable for planning, engineering, designing, implementing and managing windows based infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background with windows system management and software deployment technologies.
Key Responsibilities
§ Design, develop and implement information technology infrastructure architecture/solutions according to industry standards in line with business objectives and according to project management office processes.
§ Conduct stakeholder interviews driving requirement collection and create solution diagrams, documents, and pricing for solution
§ Develop architectural diagrams to illustrate solution complexities and interactions and Initiate and implement improvements to server systems infrastructure
§ Guide technical team in the design and implementation of redundant systems, policies, procedures for disaster recovery, storage architecture and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of server/storage systems and stored data
§ Act as mentor and coach to members of the team and Work with business engagement team, solution engineers, development teams and infrastructure services to communicate application and data architectures
§ Ensure projects successfully implement the designed solution following architectural view and operational quality controls
§ Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
§ Identify and provide standards for gathering system statistics for use in trend analysis and report information to IT management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
§ 3-4 years experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft core server technologies including Active Directory, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 and Exchange 2010, DHCP, DNS, WINS and Citrix and Hyper-V
§ 2-3 year administration and support experience with Microsoft SQL 2000/2005/2008 Server Microsoft Dynamics GP and Business Portal is desired
§ 3-4years Expert understanding of networking concepts and technologies including: Routers, Switches, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, WINS, DNS and DHCP. Developing and deploying unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops.
§ Direct Hands on experience troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and configuration management through Group Policy Objects (GPO) and the ability to create custom policies.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization.
Education and Certifications:
§ Master’ or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
§ Microsoft Certifications required
