We need a System Administrator with solid professional experience or around 2 years in managing Linux and Windows-based systems and networks. Your key responsibilities will include setting up, extending and managing our hybrid networks, firewalls and securities, setting up and maintaining web servers (Windows and Linux both), installing and troubleshooting PCs to keep them at optimum performances, taking up system backups and handling system recoveries etc.
Requirements
- To manage a LAMP infrastructure
- Experience with Mysql configuration and tuning
- Experience with Apache webserver configuration and optimization
- Sound knowledge and experience of setting up and managing:
- Windows and Linux web servers
- A wireless network
- A Windows network domain and a workgroup
- Mail exchange servers
- Vritual LANs
- Experience in handling system backups and recoveries
- Experience in providing remote network administration
- Diagnose and troubleshoot server and application problems
- A good understanding of IP-based networks and Internet services
- Should be familiar with the open source technologies
- Experience with FFMPEG, SVN/CVS is preferred
- Experience with Visual Source Safe is preferred
- Experience with Mail Servers is preferred but not mandatory
- At least a bachelor's degree from a recognized institute with a good GPA
Professional certification in relevant knowledge knowledge areas will be preferred.
