Job Description:
- Primarily responsible for developing software architecture and design and providing technical solution to business problems
- Facilitates in refinement of requirements in coordination with Business Analyst
- Envisions technical solutions to meet business requirements
- Develops and specifies software architecture and design with appropriate level of detail
- Enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of product development through good design practices
- Devises strategies for component based development and code reusability both within and across products
- Generates ideas and strategies for product improvement
- Identifies, proposes and facilitates in establishing software engineering best practices
- Facilitates in identification, selection and adoption of tools, technologies, methodologies and processes for software development
- Participates in process definition and improvement efforts in coordination with Quality Engineering
Required Skills:A degree in computer sciences or equivalent
Total 7+ years of experience and at least 3+ years in software design and architecture
Extensive J2EE experience with comprehensive understanding of java security model , web services, distributed transactions, application clustering, and designing high volume transaction applications
Ability to think in patterns
Hands on experience with Hibernate, Struts and other frameworks would be considered a plus
Excellent understanding of software engineering methodologies, processes and standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
