Job Purpose :
Product Development / Improvement
Responsible for the quality evaluation and reporting of bugs and non-conforming elements of the assigned software projects in a specified time frame
Job Responsibilities:
* Create work plan with in coordination with the QA Lead. At least 15 days’ plan must be available at any instance
* Update the work plan on daily basis with both planned and unplanned activities
* Provide input to the project plan in terms of time estimates required for QA / QC re- lated activities
* Maintain and update standard test cases/scripts and execute them
* Verify the standard test cases as applied by the development team
* Acquire the understanding of domain knowledge / business logic and prepare func- tional test cases in coordination with the Product Manager / Asst. Product Manager / Project Manager
* Report bugs and enhancement related suggestions and verify them to make them ready for delivery and categorization of bugs according to their significance
* Maintain bug reports using bugtracking tools
* Verify the projects and patch (es) as received for the first time or against the bugs after evaluating the project on standard as well as functional test cases and acquire next iteration date from the development team
* Verify the issues / operational problems as reported by the client / operations / stake- holders
* Test deployment package for fresh installation as well as for the upgrade
* Provide support to operations on training of patch / new releases
* Execute automated test scripts
* Keep track of no. of bugs reported in each category and prepare project report speci- fying statistical data of bugs
Ideal Background:
* BS/MS in Computer Engineering
* 1-2 Years Experience in software testing and configuration
Skills Required:
* Can handle simultaneous projects
* Can serve as a mentor for developers
* Fluent in English Urdu both
* Development / software configuration and testing experience
