The Position:
Advise Line Managers on all staff-related matters and on new HR policies/amendments to existing policies, to ensure a uniform approach is maintained throughout all Pakistan locations in the interpretation and application of HR policy on such matters as manpower control/planning, pay and benefits, absenteeism, training/development, Performance Matters, disciplinary matters and grievance handling. Arrange and conduct timely and cost-effective recruitment campaigns to meet the established staffing levels at all Pakistan locations, ensuring a consistent standard of high calibre staff. This involves the effective use of media and advertising copy to attract the desired response, and the appropriate assessment techniques such as psychometric assessments and interviews. The Pakistan contract of employment and other related documents must be regularly reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with Pakistan employment laws and best practice. Recommend and assist HRM Business Support & HR-Remuneration & Planning in formulating new policies/revising existing HR policies and procedures to ensure such policies and procedures are in line with Pakistan employment laws and best practice.
Assist HR-Remuneration and Planning in conducting annual pay and benefits surveys in order to ensure that local salaries and benefits are competitively pitched to attract high calibre staff and motivate existing staff. Support and implement the Performance Matters process in Pakistan, particularly in regard to post-training implementation, i.e. assisting the line managers in agreeing competencies, setting objectives and drawing up development plans for individuals. Ensure that the effectiveness of Performance Matters is monitored and reported to HR Management and Line Management.

Experience and Qualifications:

• University Degree with specialisation in Human Resources.
• Minimum 8 years experience in Human Resources, preferably within the airline industry, with at least 4 years at managerial level with a clearly definable emphasis on recruitment, employee relations, and labor tribunal and HR administration.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to listen and counsel staff/ managers in good HR practice. An appreciation of the concept of Customer Service for internal as well as external customers.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with particular emphasis on being able to influence outside area of direct reporting.
• Knowledge of Pakistan employment laws/ best practice.
• Must have knowledge of working applications — Microsoft Word, Excel or similar packages.
