Job Description
· The ideal candidate must have Rock-Solid ROR development experience and know rails, in and out.
· Hands on experience with critical areas including performance tuning, security, feature implementation, and overall code structure decisions.
· Work with project management and development staff to plan and execute large-scale technical projects
· Translate business and technical requirements into logical and physical designs
· Ability to clearly communicate both within the team and with the client
· Ability to travel outside of Pakistan and work onsite with the client
· Author formal requirements, analysis and technical design documentation
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
· Bachelors / Masters degree from a reputable university
· 2+ years creating web applications using Ruby on Rails
· 5+ years creating web applications and object-oriented design
· Experience with UNIX operating systems, including basic systems administration
· Experience with using software Configuration Management Systems
· Experience with databases, database design, and formulating complex SQL queries -- Postgres preferred
· Experience with at least on MVC framework, in addition to Ruby on Rails
· Experience with writing software in one or more languages, in addition to Ruby
· Excellent communication skills
