Our Offshore development office in Lahore is looking for dynamic individuals who welcome challenges, are able to multitask under deadlines and pressure and will meet or even exceed all job responsibilities.
Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. A certification like MCSA would be a plus.
Preferably 2-3 years experience as Systems/Network Administrator in a large organization
Expertise in Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 platforms (Windows Vista expertise would be a plus)
Working knowledge of MS Exchange/Outlook
Working Knowledge of Firewalls, Proxy servers & Network security
Understanding of Software Deployment Techniques and in particular, Windows Installer Packaging
Trouble shooting PCs/hardware knowledge is essential
Knowledge of SQL server deployment, Database scripting and VB scripting (Visual Studio know-how would be a plus)
Excellent Communication skills, should able to speak and write in English
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient and interrupted operation of Systems/Network.
- Plan and implement future development of Systems/Networking within organization.
- Providing prompt Systems support and ensuring minimal downtimes for workstations/ servers.
- Coordinate with regional offices for the planning of backups, establishing VPN, firewalls and other intranet/networking .
- Implement and maintain virus protection
- Document the network topology in order to quickly access information needed to make purchases and diagnose problems.
- Any other assignment assigned by supervisor.
