Working in the Research and Development organization, you will assist the VP of Engineering to research, design, implement, and document enabling technology for the company’s mobile banking and trading products. This person must be able to work independently and demonstrate excellent problem solving skills in researching and developing mobile and Web technology. Qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills and be capable of communicating verbally and in writing with internal product and development staff. Qualified candidate is currently enrolled (or graduated) in a Bachelor's degree program with specialization in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts research and development of enabling technology for mobile banking and trading application.
- Identifies addresses and solves design and implementation problems by providing multiple viable solutions.
- Contributes with the Engineering & Product Management stakeholders in use case design and development.
- Document the R&D work, including but not limited to, design, implementation, interfaces, API's, build and package requirements, and deployment and configuration instructions.
Skills Required:
- 4 to 6 years of software development experience
- Candidate must demonstrate a capacity for conceptual and associative thinking, and the ability to translate this thinking into useful conceptual designs and supporting documentation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Possess excellent knowledge in one or more of these areas for rapid prototyping purposes: C/C++, Java (J2ME,J2SE, J2EE, JSP), .NET (VB, C#), SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer Protocol), WAP, WML, TCP/IP, Security
