Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for technically leading front end of our debugger and IDE, EDGE Developer Suite, which is based on Eclipse. It includes:
- Maintaining the front end of debugger and IDE (includes all perspectives with a bunch of views and different editors, and project manager)
- Adding new GUI components and features
- Working on JNI layer to communicate with debugger engine written in C++
- Cooperating with team members at other sites in US
- Providing technical guidance to a team working on IDE and managing it
Qualifications:
You should have proven record in software development. You should possess excellent programming skills and extensive experience in Java especially GUI development in Java. You should also have reasonable experience in extending Eclipse, not just using it as an IDE. Good knowledge about how debuggers for embedded software development work and how they are developed is also required.
Good understanding of embedded systems and devices is desirable.
- University Degree in Electronics/ Computer Engineering / Computer science from a reputed university.
- Five years experience of designing and writing GUIs in Java. Experience with Eclipse plug-in development is highly desirable.
- Fluent English, other languages are considered assets
- A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
