Role: System Administrator – SAN
Location: Lahore, Pakistan

Role and Responsibilities:
* Have strong understanding of SAN, data recovery and backup solutions.
* Perform software implementations and upgrades.
* Implementation of SAN performance monitoring and alerting system.
* Review system utilization graphs on daily basis and come up with capacity up gradation recommendations.
* Identify outages, sending notifications and follow-up on any outages until its restoration.
* Perform research and development work to certify new technologies and its implementation to take our storage infrastructure more reliable, secure.
* Implementation of storage components like SAN copy, Mirrorview and control center etc.
Review and drill disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
* Provide mentoring and coaching to other teams (DB/SCM/NOC) for storage services.
* Publish and maintain storage policies, processes, procedures and current configurations.
* Plan and implement service improvements and system tuning recommendations.
* Determine key metrics and develop reporting requirement of our storage infrastructure.
* Keep HBAs firmware updated.
* Attend EMC and other storage vendors online trainings.
* Get latest EMC and other storage vendors certifications.
What We Require:
* Good systems administration skills
* Expertise in EMC storage, Sun Solaris, Linux
* Good communication skills
* Good troubleshooting skills
* Able to work extended hours under tight deadline to successfully meet objectives
