Job Description:
1. Actively works to ensure smooth and timely software builds, release management and software deployments on development, staging and production systems.
2. Troubleshoots and fixes configuration and deployment issues using appropriate tools
3. Monitors configurations and production systems with real time monitoring and alert systems to proactively predict, figure out and address impending problems with software systems
4. Prepares configuration management status reports for relevant stakeholders
5. Facilitates in establishing and implementing configuration management processes and SCM best practices
6. Facilitates in exploration and induction of tools and technologies related to SCM and release management aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the function
Skills & Knowledge Required:
· A degree in computer sciences or equivalent
· Fresh to 3 years experience required
· Good understanding of Software Configuration Management
· Knowledge of Linux or Sun-Solaris platform would be preferable, though not necessary
· Thirst to learn and grow
