Senior Manager Finance

Position Title: Senior Manager Finance

Reports to- Primary: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Direct Reports:  4

1.     PURPOSE OF ROLE (JOB SUMMARY):

The position is primarily responsible for corporate planning, management and financial reporting. Active supervision and control over group’s business plans and performance against budgets and market trends, provides feedback to review management on various strategic and financial issues and exercises financial control and discipline.

2.     POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

        Plan finance department objectives in line with Group’s objectives (30%).
        Ensure preparation and effective usage of policies, procedures and action plans for achieving departmental objectives (20%)
        Ensure preparation and presentation of department reporting to management for decision making and to Government agencies for compliance to financial reporting and regulatory framework (20%)
        Training and development of staff (15%)
        Liaising, coordination and stream lining issues with other departments (10%)
        Financial responsibilities:
o   Develop budget recommendations (e.g. budgeted financials, forecast, capital budgets Rs. 8 Billion)
o   Prepare budget requests and written narratives
o   Review expenses against budget

3.     LEVEL OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

        The assignments require the individual to take initiative in planning and performing work each day and for weeks.
The impact of the decisions taken in this position affects multiple functions and the group.
The consequences of errors caused in carrying out the actual work of this position affect multiple functions and the group. e.g. non-deduction of income tax at source from payments as a result payment would be disallowed causing less equal to payment and there would also be fine (penalty and other penal provisions)
        Assignments requires to work:
o   Frequently with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner.
o   As a team and cooperation with individuals and groups. e.g. effective coordination with work groups/ teams for better understanding of objectives, clarity on role expected and deliverables and feedback and follow up for overall achievement of Group’s goals and objectives 

4.     EDUCATIONAL/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

4.1. Qualification

        Qualified CA

4.2. Experience

        More than 5 years experience working in the same position in a reputable company.
Must have skills for implementation of Financial Oracle, ERP
